Each secure GoldenGate deployment requires two certificates:
A Server Certificate for the GoldenGate services
A Client Certificate used by distribution and/or receiver service to securely communicate with other remote deployments.
The same certificate authority is typically used for all certificates across all deployments
If different certificate authorities are used, then register them as trusted certs in the wallets to enable mutual TLS. Provide the certs in separate auto-login Oracle wallets.
Configuring MA Servers/Services Using oggca.sh
The oggca.sh utility allows you to configure the Service Manager. Oracle recommends installing the Service Manager as a system service/daemon so that entire MA architecture is started when the computer boots up.
Service Manager is the watchdog process that takes care of starting the other MA services (Administration Server, Distribution Server, Receiver Server and, if configured, the Performance Metrics Server).
The oggca.sh utility also allows you to configure the first deployment while configuring the Service Manager.
