Microservices Architecture – Roles

There are four types of roles used in an MA Deployment:
Security: Users can perform all administrative tasks, administering and authorizing new clients
Administrator: Users can perform all administrative tasks except for administering and authorizing new clients
Operator: Users can start and stop processes
User: This is the least powerful role. Users can retrieve only status or monitoring information

Parameter Files
Most Oracle GoldenGate functionality is controlled by the use of parameters that are specified in text files.

Oracle GoldenGate uses two types of parameter files:
– GLOBALS file: Stores parameters that relate to the GoldenGate instance as a whole
– Run-Time parameter file: is coupled with a specific process (such as extract)

By default, run time parameter files are located in the following directories:
– MA (Microservices Architecture) : OGG_ETC_HOME/config/ogg
– CA (Classic Architecture): dirprm
